Dad "David" was born in Nottingham on Feb 11th 1926. not sure of his mothers maiden name. He has dementia and cant give me any info. I wish to try to trace the family history. He married Iris Carter Deverill in 1947. Migrated to Australia in around 1957-60. any information on the Walker or Deverill family history would be great. cheers  Ian

Seven years on and I am still looking for the parents of John Gray b.1745 married to Hannah Sutton (butcher of Edlesborough). Father of Benjamin Gray b.1773 John Gray b.1785 etc.
Can anyone help?

Derek Gray

#1723 Tom n Harry, 14 June 2013, 13:46

Sorry Derek.
Can't be much help at the moment as there is nothing in Parish Records 1559-1812 until:

Marriage
June 17th 1808 John Gray bach of Edlesborough to Rebecca Pearson spin of Eaton Bray.

Banns of Marriage
September 27th 1800 George Brown of Eaton Bray to Sophia Gray of Edlesborough.
October 23rd 1803 William Raison of Eaton Bray to Ann Gray of Edlesborough.
November 12th 1809 Bartholomew Pearson of Eaton Bray to Hannah Gray of Edlesborough.

Will search elsewhere.

#1725 Derek Gray, 16 June 2013, 18:14

Thanks for looking. The John Gray you have was my 2xggrandfather.The cleric keeping the parish records in the mid 1700s was a bit careless. Archives at Aylesbury cannot help.My last hope was the family Bible. Hannah Sutton b.1748, his wife can be traced in Stoke Hammond back to the 1600s, where they were married in 1771.
