Celebrate Christmas With Eaton Bray Parish Council

Christmas Carols & Brass Ensemble Around the Village - Thursday 22nd December

To help us all get in the Christmas spirit, the Parish Council have arranged for a small brass ensemble to play a few of the most popular Christmas Carols around Eaton Bray on the evening of the 22nd December, starting in Medley Close at 7:00pm and ending outside the White Horse at around 8:45pm.

Details of where the brass ensemble is to visit can be found on the parish website and within the December Focus.

Central Beds Representative

Cllr Mustoe wished to remind all residents of the Lets Talk Together Meeting being held in Eaton Bray Village Hall on 6th December 2011.

Village Traffic

The Parish Council are investigating whether Central Bedfordshire Council has a policy on 20mph speed limits outside of schools. The council are looking into the current location of the 30mph sign in Bower Lane and the possibility of it being moved to a more suitable position.

Recreation Grounds

The yearly RoSPA safety inspection of the village recreation play grounds and skate & ride area are due to be carried out.

Parish Trees

The Parish Council have received final quotes for tree work to the Ransome Strip/Middle Path and agreed contractor to be contacted to carry out the work.

The Coffee Tavern

The Council are looking at installing a notice board near The Coffee Tavern for community use, with the current notice boards fixed to The Coffee Tavern being for Coffee Tavern/Parish Council use only.

Allotments

Allotment renewal payments are coming in and the clerk is in the process of collating payments; which if not received within an allotted time will mean the tenants of those allotments losing their tenancy and the plots being released to new tenants.
