Eaton Bray is in the money, thanks to a land deal.

May Oates, 84, gave almost half an acre of land in the High Street to the parish council, "for the good of the village".

The council has agreed to sell the land to builders in a £70,000 deal. The cash will be used for recreation purposes, and invested to help offset future rate rises.
