Cricket: Gypps and overseas star Stopp shine as Bray draw
The 2's batted first and totalled 171 for the loss of 5 wickets, with a well constructed 76 from opener Andy Gypps and 34 from number 3 Jones. There was even a rare appearance from former captain Dave Wheeler who made 7 batting at 5.
In reply there was a 5 wicket haul and 3 catches from Jonty Stopp, son of resident 2nd team scorer Judy, who was visiting from his now home in America. Stewkley did manage to grind out a draw, even with skipper Kerins using every outfield player bar one as a bowler in an effort to find a breakthrough as the game ended.
An excellent performance from the 2's who came within inches of snatching a victory.
