Update On Policing Within Eaton Bray

The Parish Council wanted to remind all residents that they need to report any incidents they see occurring in the parish, however minor, direct to the local police and obtain a URN number. The Parish Council are continuing to look into the option of Specials for the parish and are awaiting feedback from the police. The Parish Council are also looking into the possibility of organising fridge magnets for all residents in the parish as a quick reference point for police contacts.

The Threatened Closure Of The Village Post Office

All relevant documentation has been sent to the Post Office Consultation Team, with a decision on the closures expected to be announced on the 17th September 2008.

Additional Dog Hygiene Waste Bins

The Parish Council have agreed to the purchase of five additional dog hygiene bins for the parish, to be placed in the following areas: Market Square, The Meads, Holmans Field, Church Lane and School Lane Recreation Ground.

Temporary Speed Limits Of 20mph Within Eaton Bray Village

The Parish Council are looking into the possibility of introducing temporary speed limits of 20mph in Eaton Bray Village, to coincide with School pick-up times, at the junction with School Lane.

Allotments

It’s that time again when allotment rents are due, with letters to be sent out to all tenants requesting their 2008-2009 rental payments. Allotment holders are welcome to pop along to The Coffee Tavern on Monday 6th October next from 7:00pm-7:30pm (prior to the Parish Council Meeting) to make their payments and have a chat.
