Summary of Minutes - Monday 1st October 2012

Police Representative

PCSO K. Horgan attended the meeting. She went through the data regarding incidents occurring in the parish. She again reiterated the importance of residents to contact the police to report any incidents/suspicious behaviour occurring within the village.

In an emergency always dial 999. In the event of a non-emergency, use the non-emergency number of 101. If you wish to contact by e-mail please go to the Beds Police website.

Central Beds Representative

Cllr. Mustoe addressed the Parish Council. The planning application for the land behind the White Horse Public House has been called in to committee and is awaiting a decision.

Following the success of events held last year, the Just Ask … Rave Bus is again visiting towns across Central Bedfordshire. Most sessions run from 9am to 1:30pm, for more details visit see Just Ask... Rave Bus [PDF].

CBC are carrying out a number of consultation activities, details of these can be found on the council’s website, for more details visit Current Central Beds Online Consultations.

Traffic/Speeding

Motorists are continuing to speed down School Lane, despite the introduction of 20mph restriction on this road. Road users are reminded to SLOW DOWN and drive at the legal speed limit set for this stretch of road.

No Parking

The Parish Council are to be fitting NO PARKING signs at the Three Corners and Market Square. Residents are reminded that cars are not allowed to be parked on these areas at any time and must be kept clear.

Community Notice Board

A new notice board has been fitted at the village shop.

Bulb Planting

The Parish Council are in the process of planting additional flower bulbs around the village and would like to thank those who are helping the council with this project.
